What to expect?
Whether you’re proposing to the love of your life or celebrating your recent engagement Banff is the perfect place to document your love story. With breath taking views of the Rocky Mountains, turquoise lakes and alpine forests Banff offers endless possibilities for the perfect backdrop to your major life milestones. Banff also offers many outdoor activities that you can tie into your session, from hiking to helicopter rides, canoeing, horseback riding, dog sledding , skiing, snowboarding and so much more! Adding an activity to your session is a great idea, especially for those who are extra shy.
Your session should feel like a fun date! My hope is that you come away from your session with new memories with your partner, feeling connected to each other, with the bonus of photos. I’ll guide you through the session with prompts, while leaving room for your nature personalities and unique love for each other to shine through. I'll also incorporate time for you to take in the epic scenery!

Proposing in Banff
Propose surrounded by one of Banff’s iconic landscapes with the help of a professional photographer. I’ll help you bring your dream proposal to life! From choosing the perfect location, what to wear, vendor recommendations and setting up the actual proposal, I’ve got you covered. Imagine getting down on one knee beside the majestic Canadian Rockies.
There are two options for surprise proposals that I’ve found work really well
Acting as a tourist I walk around pretend to take photos of the landscape until you are in the agreed upon location and then casually ask me to take a photo of the two of you on your cell phone. Once I’m in place you propose when you’re ready.
My favourite option is to plan a couples session with your partner in a location that has meaning for you or doing an activity you love to do together and then mid way through the session I pose your partner so their back is to you and you get down on one knee and then I have them turn around to be surprised by your proposal. This is a great option because you don’t have to be as sneaky because they already know about the session and I can put you both in the perfect positions to capture all the emotion of your proposal.
Banff Engagement Sessions
Imagine taking a helicopter to a mountain top or canoeing the turquoise waters at Moraine lake for your engagement session. Riding your motorcycle along the mountain roads, taking a dip in an alpine lake or skiing in fresh powder.
Your Banff engagement session is the perfect opportunity to get to know your photographer before your elopement, document your travels, and freeze this really special time in your lives.

Fill Out The Inquiry Form
Fill out the inquiry form on my contact page and tell me all about your vision for your dream engagement session or proposal. It will take you less than 5 minutes! If you need inspiration I’m happy to guide you! You’ll hear back from me within 12 hrs.

Make It Official
A signed contract and 50% retainer is required in order to reserve your date. From there we’ll confirm a location and I’ll send over any relevant recommendations and guides. We may decide to schedule a phone call planning session if needed.

Show Up To Your Session
With all the planning complete it’s time to document your love in the mountains! I’ll guide you through the session with posing prompts and easy conversation so you don’t have to worry about feeling awkward. I’ll also give you space to enjoy each others company and take in the breath taking scenery.
