Where can we elope in Banff with a stunning view without a long hike?
Banff has plenty of breathtaking locations that don’t require a long trek. Some of the best easy-access spots include Lake Minnewanka, Two Jack Lake, Bow Lake, Peyto, Tunnel Mountain Reservoir, and Emerald Lake—all offering incredible mountain backdrops just steps from the parking area. If you’re looking for something even more unique, a helicopter elopement can take you to a remote, jaw-dropping location with no hiking required.
How do we legally get married in Alberta?
To legally marry in Alberta, you’ll need to obtain a marriage license from a registry office within the province (valid for 90 days), hire a registered officiant or marriage commissioner, and have two witnesses present. During your ceremony, you’ll sign the marriage license, which your officiant will then submit to Alberta Vital Statistics. Afterward, you can order your official marriage certificate through a registry office. If you're eloping just the two of you, I can help arrange witnesses and guide you through the legal process to make everything seamless.
