Megan is an absolute gem of a photographer! She beautifully captured one of the most important moments of my life – my surprise proposal to my now-fiancée at Lake Louise. Megan photographed our surprise proposal at Lake Louise and she made it so special and captured the most amazing photos. Megan followed us around without breaking cover for almost an hour before the proposal and captured photos and videos of our proposal. She is so friendly and fun to have as a photographer. All the pictures were stunning and she captured all the scenery and details you could imagine. She set up zoom calls with my fiancé weeks in advance and gave him tips for what to wear and for posing. In addition, she let us create our own poses. I loved every photo and she gave us our sneak peak extremely fast. We are so thankful that she captured this special moment perfectly.

On my trip to Banff, I was planning to propose to my (now) fiancé, and I was looking for a professional photographer and I both found Megan online and was recommended by a colleague.

After reaching out to Megan, we had an email chain back and forth to discuss options on how to propose, which I ended up choosing the surprise option. Megan made planning the photoshoot a breeze and had several incredible ideas on what the shoot could look like. Being my first trip to Banff as well, Megan had several location ideas with the insider knowledge on when to go at what times and what to expect. Megan even included a well detailed guide with examples of what to wear to the shoot!

Megan arrived at the location early, and greeted us with a warm smile and inviting conversation. She brought some lanterns as props (which turned out amazing) and even lent her own gloves to my fiancé in between shots (It was 0 degrees and partly snowing at 05:00 in the middle of June lol).

Conversation was easy and Megan is a very personable individual, who made both my fiancé and myself feel comfortable and at ease throughout the entire event.

Megan exceeded all of my expectations beyond my own belief! She even gave us excellent recommendations for restaurants, activities, and trails nearby.

I haven't even mentioned the photos, which brings me to my next point. The photos themselves are absolutely INCREDIBLE! Both my fiancé and I were thoroughly impressed with the quality of each and every picture. Megan even recorded the proposal on her iPhone so we had both pictures and video. After the photoshoot, Megan airdropped everything from her phone to us, and informed us it'll be about 2 days to get the preview photos and approx. 2 weeks for the remainder of the gallery. Exactly as mentioned, were received all our photos on time, and in fact earlier than we had thought.

For anybody looking for a photographer in the Banff area, whether it be proposal, elopement, or wedding, I would give my highest recommendation to Megan. Both my fiancé and I feel that she truly captured the essence of our very special moment in life and made it that much better.
