Bethany + Ben’s engagement shoot was of my favourites EVER. Ben wanted to show his fiancé around his city and have photos to show her family as well. They are so much fun!!! We talked and laughed and got to know each other a bit better. We also talked about wedding details for their August wedding in Colorado!! I. CAN’T. WAIT. Bethany has showed me some photos of the venue and it is stunning.

There's currently a cold weather advisory in effect for Ottawa. But I love how fresh fluffy snow looks. And I like cozy winter vibes. Third wheeling Rose + Michael while they played in the snow was super fun. But I probably need to invest in some better winter clothing if I want to make a habit of this. Tims were not the right choice. I was made for warmer weather.

They were super game for this location and completely trusted the vision I had for it. We made it just in time before all the leaves changed colours. The sky changed dramatically while we were there. It went from being decently bright to dark and stormy, you’ll see that reflected in the photos.Just as a public service announcement there is more than one parking lot at the lake.. sooo if you're meeting people maybe decide on a parking lot to meet at before hand. We also missed each other because of the parking lot situation and lack of service. BUT it all worked out. Look how good they are together!!
Read MoreEmma + Matt invited me to stay overnight at their family cottage (they made me chicken fingers and fries..which is my love language and bought me all the plain food I like lol) on Leslie Lake, Quebec for their fall engagement photos. Emma and I have been friends since we were little kids and if you’ve been following my blog for a while you’ll remember her and Matt from the Tremblant summit shoot last winter. I dragged them there because I wanted to do a couples shoot up there. Matt surprised Emma by proposing at Christmas that year and the shoot turned into a bit of an engagement shoot because now Emma had a ring. But what they really wanted for their official engagement photos was a fall shoot on the lake with a canoe because Emma used to go on long canoe trips in Northern Canada.
