Our Engagement Photos Sneak Peek | Lake Minnewanka, Banff National Park, Alberta
When we first got engaged (May 2019) the original plan was to get married in the mountains in British Columbia. As we started planning we quickly realized that it was going to be WAYYYYY to stressful to plan our wedding in such a short amount of time. We decided December 5th 2019 would be perfect. Since we were going to be out west for Thanksgiving with Adrian’s family anyway we decided to have our engagement photos taken in Banff. Lake Minnewanka at sunset was so dreamy!! The sunsetting on the mountains in the background was UNREAL! It was also almost 0 degrees while we were shooting!! We FROZE. We chose Célestine Aerden to be our photographer. She totally brought our vision to life! And she brought us a blanket and had warmers!! She was so prepared and professional and friendly! So so happy we picked her!
We drove straight to Thanksgiving after our shoot. Our friend Jessica joined us. We caravanned across the mountains into BC together. We made one stop for coffee + hot chocolate. Adrian found a little gift shop next door and came out with a surprise gift for me! A gold necklace with a mountain scape, a full moon + pine trees. It’s my favourite necklace for a few reasons.. 1) he got it for me, 2) we had just driven by the literal exact same scene in real life and it was breathtaking, 3) he said until we can move to the mountains (it’s our dream to live in the mountains or at least a little closer) he brought the mountains to me!
I hope you enjoy this sneak peek. Stay tuned for the rest of our engagement photos!
